Well manged to have a morning out Sunday, with my mate John Watkins. who has started fly fishing this season, we went down to the river Towy on the Abercothi beat. had a take on my 2nd cast 8.00am but the fish came adrift, and then at 9.10am had another take which was the fish below. nice bright sealiced fish lots of fish starting to come into the system, but will say we are about 4/5 weeks behind in the season.
Above is the tube fly i was using, 3/4" copper tube gold holographic body and copper mirage flash.
Still tying a lot, above some of the flies, which went up to North Wales. for the river Dee and and a Scotland trip,

Well the fishing has started very good, with a number of very good fish coming into the rivers of south Wales. above my mate for many years Andy, with is first sewin (sea trout) of the season a sea liced fish of 14lb 12oz off the Abercothi beat of the river Towy,. which has been fishing very well, i fished the beat bank holiday Monday. and lost a mid doubles sewin i was just gutted for not landing my first fish of the year, the Abercothi beat has turned up some great fish so far to 16lb.

Been tying up some of the older fly patterns, for my mate John Wakins. for the river Towy that worked well for the sewin, they are the Harry Tom on the left. and the Dai Ben on the right, tied on a size 6 kamasan B175.
