Cascade's and Toucans.

Well it's nice to have a change of fly, for three weeks i have had order after order for the Tyne Toucan. i have never had a fly like this one that every one wants, loads gone to Scotland/ Tyne and wear area/ Ireland/ south of England and Norway. just awesome, but sat down this morning and tied up these Cascade's it a great fly. use it a lot for my sewin and salmon fishing, this fly and the Ally shrimp just work so well.
Cant wait now, season is almost on us. roll on APRIL,
Above is another take of mine on the Toucan, yellow for peaty water or spate running off.
And above, another take on the orange toucan. orange head and body looks very good,
And look, my crest feathers are looking a bit better, but still a lot more soaking and shaping of more crest feathers. to get my stock back up, the number of toucans is still rising. i have tied near 600 flies and i have 23 orders in, when will it end.HeHe.

The Toucan is still flying,

Here is my take on the Toucan, this one in Orange, the red one is good. but as we all know orange is a great color,
Again the black Tuocan, this one tied with a front hackle of shlappen.
The tube has also proven to be a good seller,
Tied these up Monday, for a customer,
These two boxes, are always topped up with crest feather. but the run i have had on these Toucan flies, have taken a toll on them. this coming week in between tying, must start soaking and shaping crest feathers. To Date i have sent out 475 doubles and tubes, i have never had a pattern with such a demand.

The Tyne Tuocan fly,

Every one seams to have gone mad for this fly,
It was invented by Gary Hillary. The head gillie for the Bywell beat of the river Tyne,
And in the 2011 season, the fly did take a prodigious number of salmon. the beat did have 633 fish, and the Tuocan fly did take 100 fish out of the 633 total.
I only tied this fly up Sunday morning, and to date. i have had 19 orders of sets of 3 flies, as i have said every has gone mad for the flies.
I have been using a pattern of my own, which is very much like the Tuocan. and it has worked very well for me over the last two seasons, so will be giving this one a swim this coming season. and see how it works along side my own pattern, will let you know
How it go's.

And along side, my take on the Tuocan in tube form, Gary Hillary does say that a tube would not work. but i am sure this will work all day long,
And along side, a flock of Tuocan's, in size 6 and 8 plus some in black,
